SANIFAIR at Vienna central station – more than a train station

  • First facility at an Austrian train station opened
  • Expansion of the train station into a multifunctional space
  • Numerous voucher redeeming partners

A successful cooperation with the Austrian rail service (ÖBB) has begun: SANIFAIR opened a further franchise operation at the start of October with two modern facilities at Vienna central station.

Vienna central station opened with the BahnhofCity concept on 10 October 2014, an international trend that includes the expansion of the transport hub into a multifunctional space. Travellers find the train station combined with a shopping centre, offices, a multistorey car park and a hotel. The German shopping centre experts ECE took on the project development, realisation and centre management for BahnhofCity as the expert partner of ÖBB at Vienna central station. In addition to passenger volume and the space, ÖBB brings accumulated expertise in the operational requirements for a modern transport hub to the project.

For SANIFAIR, the varied offering at Vienna central station provides a number of options for redeeming the SANIFAIR voucher. It can currently be redeemed at Burger King, Interspar, Manner Shop and Wiener Feinbäcker, among others.
